New Game From Yuga Labs 🎮

Yuga is back with another mini-game called HV-MTL. Is it good? How do you play it? What does the community think? Let’s find out!

At its core, HV-MTL is all about evolution. You'll begin with your trusty mech and work your way up to an EVO2, earning up to six powerful upgrades along the way. But it's not just about upgrading your mech; you'll also build your very own workshop called the Forge, where you'll generate energy to explore the enigmatic Rift.

Each season lasts three weeks, and during the six seasons, you'll witness the world of HV-MTL evolving right before your eyes.

Now, who can play this game?

Well, the full Forge experience is exclusive to HV-MTL NFT holders, but fret not—everyone can enjoy a limited version of the game for free. HV-MTL holders can also delegate their NFT to other wallets. This is important because if holders don’t play the game their NFT doesn’t evolve.

Energy is another vital resource you must keep an eye on. The more Tiles you build and upgrade, the more Energy your HV will have. Use this energy wisely while exploring the Rift, a mysterious dimension filled with secrets, challenges, and bountiful rewards. Get ready to team up with other players and face off against mighty raid bosses!

Oh, and don't forget to take good care of your HV. Keeping it happy is essential for its efficiency. Give it some rest, clean its space, and let it travel through Portals for a well-deserved boost.

Remember, every HV-MTL NFT you own impacts the game too. The rarity and class of your NFT determine your Forge's visual theme, making it a unique spectacle.

Does the community like it?

Well, they are mixed reactions. A good chunk of the gaming community feels like the game is going to be a “grind” to farm more rewards. In terms of game aspects, many feel the music and social aspect have missed the mark.

Cool Cats Making a Comeback 🐈

We have seen some insane comeback stories this past year. Can Cool Cats be one of them? That is yet to be determined. But from the recent town hall meet, we know major changes are coming! Let’s understand what they are.

1. Collaboration with notable game developers to release three games in the upcoming year, providing elevated experiences for their global brand.

2. Upgrading the Cool Pets collection by introducing new companions with enhanced artwork and clear utility within the Cool Cats ecosystem. This upgrade also includes expanded character development to facilitate more immersive storytelling.

3. Discontinuation of active $MILK generation starting from July 27, 2023. Cool Cats plans to organize a final $MILK burn event later in the summer, offering physical and digital rewards to participants who burn their remaining $MILK tokens.

4. Existing Cooltopia items, such as Pet Questing and Cat Gathering, will have future utility in the upcoming avatar system.

These updates aim to bring excitement, engagement, and a fresh dynamic to the Cool Cats ecosystem.

Risk of NFT Dilution 📉

In the world of NFTs, dilution is a term used to describe the decrease in the perceived value of a collection when more NFTs of the same or similar kind are released. This phenomenon occurs when the influx of new supply fails to attract enough new interest or wealth into the project.

For NFT projects, an increase in supply should ideally bring new wealth into the system to maintain the same value per unit or FP (Financial Perception) in the case of NFTs. This wealth can come from existing or new holders. However, if the same level of wealth is merely being redistributed among a larger supply, the value of the NFTs will be diluted.

To address this issue, NFT projects must demonstrate that an increase in supply leads to revenue expansion. It is crucial to show that the revenue growth benefits every holder by providing them with a larger share of the pie than before.

A recent example of dilution can be what we have seen from Azuki’s latest collection Elementals. It is not that the new 20k NFTs increased the supply. The fact that both collections looked alike made them less valuable.

Furthermore, the majority of the new collection was bought by Azuki holders only, meaning new unique holders were not onboarded as they planned. This led to further drawdown in prices.
